Job Description

Assist project managers and other team members with daily duties of projects assigned. Some examples below.

  • Site prep/Dust protection

  • Project front end demolition as needed

  • Framing and rough carpentry

  • Exterior siding/trim installation

  • Interior trim installation

  • Interior crown molding and custom trim installation

  • Custom cabinetry installation

  • Stair parts and handrail systems installation

  • Window and door installations

Job Description

Oversee and complete residential repairs and remodeling projects ranging from $500-75,000. Assist project managers and other team members with daily duties of projects assigned. Some examples below.

  • Review project specifications and schedules with project coordinator

  • Collect supplies required to complete each project as needed

  • Manage specialty trades and general technicians

  • Communicate with clients regarding additional work and project updates

  • Meet building inspectors for inspections as required

  • Site prep and dust protection

  • Troubleshoot jobsite conditions and execute plans

  • Perform remodeling duties as assigned: demolition, framing, interior and exterior trim, siding, cabinetry, light mechanical, drywall and painting, etc.

  • Monitor quality and cleanliness on job sites

  • Coordinate with team members

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 months as a general technician within Nicholson Builders

  • Proficient in most areas required of remodeling carpenters

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings

  • Proficiency in the use of required tools

  • Must be capable of working independently or in a team setting

  • Ability to resolve common problems and concerns of clients and staff in a professional manner

  • Understanding of code requirements

  • Professional and positive attitude and appearance

  • Strong communication skills

  • Valid drivers license/reliable transportation

  • Drug free

  • Willingness to learn
